OVERVIEW

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is world–renowned for its beautiful flora, iconic buildings, and conservation work and was given UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2003. Kew is a unique venue, playing host to royalty and film stars alike in 300 acres of greenery. From ceremonies in a former royal residence to receptions amidst a tropical rainforest, the Garden’s extensive landscape is unrivalled.

Kew Gardens has a range of striking and beautiful venues to host everything from your civil ceremony through to a post-dinner dance. We have three civil ceremony licensed venues, Cambridge Cottage, Kew Palace and the Nash Conservatory.

Cambridge Cottage is an elegant Georgian cottage offering an intimate classical setting for civil wedding ceremonies and receptions throughout the year. Ceremonies can take place either in the Georgian drawing room or outdoors upon manicured lawns, for up to 80 guests. After champagne and canapés in your own private garden, guests can be seated for a wedding breakfast in the adjoining Gallery. Additional guests of up to 150 can be invited for the after dinner party, and you can dance the night away in your exclusive corner of Kew Gardens.

Our larger capacity venues, the Nash Conservatory, the Princes of Wales Conservatory and the Orangery can be hired individually or together as a multiple venue package on the day of your wedding.

The Nash Conservatory, moved brick by brick from Buckingham Palace to Kew by King William 1V in 1836, is a beautiful 19th Century glasshouse that provides a versatile event space licensed for both daytime and evening weddings. Our Princess of Wales Conservatory offers a unique and quirky drinks reception space, where your guests can explore the different climatic zones, plants and free roaming lizards. For your evening reception, the Orangery is one of Kew's most magnificent venues and is the perfect setting for and exclusive dinner dance, accommodating up to 200 guests.

On 5th May 2018, Kew’s breath-taking Temperate House – the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world – reopened after a five-year closure. The entire frame-work of the building has been painstakingly repaired, and its thousands of panes of glass replaced, along with its intricate ironwork and expansive paved flooring. The result is a glistening cathedral housing 10,000 plants, making it one of the most unique venues in London.

The impressive glasshouse can host large evening dinners and standing receptions of up to 300 guests amongst 10,000 species of rare and endangered plants. You are now, once again able to hire this magnificent space exclusively in which to throw the most exquisite events. With venue hire starting from £14,000 + VAT for the evening you can impress your guests with endless history within this completely unique space.

With good transport links with the centre of London, Kew Gardens offers the perfect rural escape for your event. By choosing Kew as your venue, not only are you ensuring your event has that important wow factor, but you will also be helping our valuable plant conservation and life-saving research work.
