Dating back to the 17th Century, our traditional coaching inn mixes traditional time-honoured values with modern comforts. The George was originally home to Oliver Cromwell’s grandfather, and we take great pride in its history and that of the local area.
Each of our 26 bedrooms accommodates modern day luxuries as well as the more classical features. This continues into our bar and restaurant area where you can enjoy our seasonal menus that are complimented by real ales and fine wines.
