The best part of my job is handing you your completed wedding album and the initial reaction when the front cover is turned. I love wedding photography, I have been shooting for over 20 years.
I have my own relaxed, creative style which captures moments in time that ordinarily would be missed or forgotten. These are the pictures that will mean more to you as time moves on. Creating these memories are always in the forefront of my mind when I am shooting.
My work mainly comes from recommendations from previous clients and people that have seen me working at weddings they have been guests at. Most of the weddings I cover are in Warwickshire but I often travel around the UK to cover weddings and also travel internationally for ceremonies and celebrations.
I love what I do, knowing that I am working to provide you with amazing memories is a privilege and it is that what drives me.
I began photographing weddings in 1987 and have covered many, if not all types of wedding ceremonies, ranging from the small intimate group in a local register office to several hundreds of guests in a cathedral. Although I’m based in the Midlands, it has it’s advantages, because as a wedding photographer Birmingham gives me a central location to cover easily wedding events that happen in an around the Midlands area, nationally in places such as London, Manchester, Wales, Southampton etc, and even abroad, as I’ve been privileged to shoot on more than one occasion in places such as Ireland and the Caribbean.
I approach each wedding day with the following in mind…..”It’s all about you”…, so rather than take over the day with endless group photographs, I want you to enjoy your family and friend’s company as much as possible, while I blend into the background to capture those precious moments that too often go unnoticed. Recording those memories that become timeless.
Yes, a few group and personal photographs will be taken, but as the day is all about you… these posed photographs will be taken quickly and professionally to minimise the time you’re away from your guests.
Hello I'm Rob a Birmingham based wedding photographer. I spend most weekends shooting weddings all over the West Midlands and the rest of the UK.
I'm not a traditional wedding photographer who just shoots line ups of family members. My style is journalistic and creative, and I like working with couples who want their style and identity to stand out on their wedding pictures.
I’m a Midlands-based location photographer and designer, specialising in recording special events in a realistic and informal style. You won’t find any awkward posed shots or fake smiles in my portfolio! With me, it’s about blending into the background and telling the story of your special day, event or portrait shoot moment by moment.
Having recently got married myself, I know what an amazing whirlwind a wedding day can be. With somebody there who has the expertise to capture both what has been planned, and the surprises, you will be able to keep the memories of your day fresh forever.
As well as having a keen eye, I’m a good listener. I’ll spend time with you beforehand finding out what you want from your pictures. If you have something particular and personal in mind, I can help you ensure that this comes across in your photographs. From the morning preparations, to the party in the evening, I’ll be there making sure you’ll be able to treasure all those valuable instants forever.
